Find New Lenox Police Atop A Rooftop Friday For Annual Fundraiser
New Lenox police officers will be raising money for Special Olympics Illinois.
NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Police Department is inviting people to join in on the annual Cop on a Rooftop event Friday from 5 a.m. to noon at Dunkin', 970 W. Laraway Road.
The annual event helps raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.
Each person who makes a donation will receive a coupon for a free donut, according to a Facebook post by the New Lenox Police Department. Those who donate $10 or more will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run/Dunkin’ travel mug (while supplies last) and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee.

This year's Cop on a Rooftop marks the 19th Anniversary of the Dunkin' and Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois partnership, according to information on the Special Olympics Illinois website. Nearly $870,000 was raised for the organization last year across 283 locations.
