Konow's Has 10 Acres of Mazes, Pumpkins for Halloween Fun

For a harvest festival atmosphere, check out Konow's Corn Maze in Homer Glen.

Are you looking for affordable family fun? Stop by Konow's Corn Maze in Homer Glen.

For the past eight years the Konow family has turned over a portion of their own farm and created a harvest festival atmosphere.

Owner Laura Konow said she personally enjoys the harvest aspects of the traditional Halloween Season over the scary and gruesome elements. "I like that families want to come with small children."

The Konow's have dedicated 10 acres to corn mazes. You can either walk the maze or take a hayride through.

Along with the mazes, of course, comes a mountain of pumpkins to choose from. Large pumpkins are $6 and small ones are $2. There are bushels of gourds and festive decorations along with haystacks and cornstalks.

The theme is seasonal, said Konow, but the farm also features a mining exhibit where kids can pan for precious stones. Another highlight is the cow train ride along with a giant jumping pillow and a mechanical bull.

Located at 16849 S. Cedar Road in Homer Glen, the cost of admission is $9 for ages 3 and up. All activities come with the price of admission. Children 2 and under are free.

Konow's Corn Maze is open daily from 10 a. m. till 7p.m. For more information about Konow's Corn Maze, check the farm Facebook page.
