Lincoln Highway Resurfacing, Improvements To Begin Oct. 20: IDOT
Motorists in the area can expect daytime lane closures along Route 30 between Interstate 80 and Church Street.
NEW LENOX, IL — A street resurfacing and improvements project along U.S. Route 30 in New Lenox is scheduled to begin Oct. 20, according to a news release from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The project will require intermittent daytime lane closures along Route 30 between Interstate 80 and Church Street, IDOT said.
IDOT said it plans to resurface the 1.2-mile stretch of road, construct new ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps and replace deteriorated curbs. The project is expected to be completed sometime in the summer of 2023.

Motorists traveling through the area can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips, IDOT said. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
