NEW LENOX, IL — A Chicago man was arrested after police said he stole vitamins and medication from two New Lenox pharmacies. The man was one of two linked to the theft, according to police reports.
Police were called Nov. 24 to CVS, 115 E. Maple St., for a report of retail theft. An employee told police that two men wearing neon coats and face masks had concealed several bottles of vitamins and other over-the-counter medications in their pockets, and left without paying.
An officer then later saw two men matching that description leaving Walgreens, 450 S. Schoolhouse Road. Police say the officer attempted to stop the men, but only one complied. The other fled the area.
