New Lenox Arby's To Donate Nearly $18K To Northern Illinois Food Bank

The money will be given during a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the new restaurant.

NEW LENOX, IL — Arby's hasn't been in New Lenox long, but the restaurant is already ingratiating itself with the neighborhood by donating $17,728 to the Northern Illinois Food Bank, according to a news release.

Arby's franchisees Mike and Greg Schulson will celebrate the restaurant's grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the restaurant, located at 672 E. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox, according to the release. Arby's first opened its doors in New Lenox in May.

The Schulsons will be accompanied by New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann and others for the ribbon cutting, and they will hand over the check to Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving for the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Jessica Stanley-Asselmeier.
