New Lenox Christmas In The Commons Vendor Applications Due Friday

The Christmas in the Commons Holiday Market will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in December

NEW LENOX, IL — The Village of New Lenox Christmas in the Commons tradition is set to continue this year, and the Village is currently accepting applications through Friday for vendors for the Holiday Market.

Christmas in the Commons is scheduled to run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in December, with the final date being Dec. 18, according to information on the Village's website.

Selected vendors for the Holiday Market are required to place a $50 refundable deposit. Vendors will be supplied an 8-foot by 8-foot chalet equipped with heat, lighting, interior pegboards and access to power. Tables and chairs, if needed, would need to be provided by the vendor.

In addition to the Holiday Market, attendees at Christmas in the Commons can expect a full calendar of holiday activities, including the nearly 50-foot-tall lighted Santa and other holiday lights, visits from Santa, horse-drawn wagon rides, synthetic skating rinks, visits from reindeer, and much more, according to the Village.

Christmas in the Commons is free for the public to attend. It is an outdoor event, so people who attend should plan to dress according to the weather in December.
