New Lenox Dad ‘Is The Best Dad,’ Goes Above & Beyond For His Family

NEW LENOX, IL— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. New Lenox, meet Jim.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Beth Kazmierczak who nominated Jim of New Lenox.

What makes your dad extra special?

Our dad is the best dad. He sacrifices every day for his family and makes sure that they are always taken care of! Our dad takes us on walks and rides bikes with us. He coaches basketball and attends daddy daughter date nights. He picks everyone up from camp.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

Dads are the unsung heroes. They are never fully recognized for all that they do for their families. Our dad Jim works really hard. He is an educator and sometimes works 12-14 hour days during the school year. As soon as he gets home, he immediately goes into “dad mode.” He helps with dinner, he gets the kids ready for bed, he makes lunches and then he does it all again the very next day.
