New Lenox Man Hit Female Employee After Kicked Out Of VFW: Police
The man had been asked to leave after an altercation inside, police said, and struck the woman and a male employee on his way out.

NEW LENOX, IL — A New Lenox man was charged with aggravated battery after an incident at a VFW in New Lenox.
Police were called to the Harry E. Anderson VFW Post 9545 for a report of a fight in progress just after 10:30 p.m. Feb. 18. Officers on scene learned that Michael Franczyk, 54, of the 400 block of Sycamore, had been asked to leave after a fight inside, according to police reports. As he was leaving, Franczyk allegedly "struck a female employee in the face, and punched and pushed a male employee," police said.
The victims were treated for minor injuries.

Franczyk was arrested and taken to the New Lenox Police Department. He was charged with aggravated battery and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
