New Lenox Police Department Accepting Lateral Officer Applications

NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Police Department is now accepting lateral officer applications.

To be considered for the position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, at least 23 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a background investigation, oral, psychological, polygraph and medical examination.
  • Must have at least two years continuous experience as a full-time sworn, certified law enforcement officer in Illinois and in good standing with current department. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

Starting salary is in the mid-$70,000's, with a top salary of $109,000.
