New Lenox Preparing For Scarecrow Stroll At Village Commons
Area businesses and organizations can register through Oct. 14 to build and put its scarecrows on display.

NEW LENOX, IL — The Village of New Lenox and the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce are inviting area businesses and organizations to help make the Village Commons the safest place from crows in town during the Scarecrow Stroll.
Scarecrow Stroll is a standing public display in the Village Commons that will be available for free viewing at any time from Oct. 24 through Nov. 2, according to the Village.
Businesses and organizations interested in creating a scarecrow must complete and submit a registration form by Oct. 14. Scarecrow setup is scheduled to take place between Oct. 21 and Oct. 23.

Political and gory displays will not permitted, and scarecrows must be removed by Nov. 3.
There is no cost to participate, but participants are responsible for their own scarecrow supplies, according to the Village.
