NL Man At Irish Fest Kicks Cop, Tries To Kick Out Squad Windows: PD
A New Lenox man, 20, tried to get into a bar using a fake ID, and became aggressive with officers when arrested, Manhattan police said.

MANHATTAN, IL — A New Lenox man faces several felony charges after police said he became aggressive with officers following his attempt to use a fake ID to get into a Manhattan bar Saturday.
Kyle Martens, 20, of the 22500 block of Country Lane was trying to get into Gallagher's Pub Saturday, March 4 around 8:30 p.m., when security determined his ID was fake and asked him to leave. Police were called, and Martens became confrontational with officers, said Manhattan Police Chief Jeff Wold.
Martens allegedly kicked an officer in the chest, Wold said, and when taken into custody, began kicking at the windows of the police car.

Martens was charged with felonies criminal damage to government property, possession of a fraudulent driver's license, and aggravated battery of a peace officer. He was also charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing. His bond was set at $10,000.
