NEW LENOX, IL — With significant snowfall totals expected Tuesday through Thursday, New Lenox residents should be aware of the Village's street parking during snowfall policy.
The Village of New Lenox prohibits street parking after 2 or more inches of snowfall until the snow has been removed by Village workers. The street parking ban is in effect regardless of time of day.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning in Will County from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 6 p.m. Wednesday. New Lenox could see between 5 and 11 inches of snowfall accumulation, according to the National Weather service. Significant travel disruptions are also likely.

Those who violate the street parking ban could have their vehicles towed at the cost of the vehicle's owner, according to the Village's ordinance on general parking restrictions during snow removal operations.
