Road Closure On Illinois Highway Expected To Last 3-4 Weeks: Village

NEW LENOX, IL — Motorists in New Lenox who use Illinois Highway will be forced to take a detour along a stretch of the road beginning Monday, according to the Village of New Lenox.

Illinois Highway between Nelson Road and Gear Drive will be closed for improvements. The closure is expected to last about 3-4 weeks, according to the Village.

Motorists will be redirected at the closure to take either Nelson Road or Gear Drive north to Joliet Highway, and then back south on either Nelson Road or Gear Drive to get around the closure.
