Section Of Rte. 30 Reduced to 1 Lane Starting Wednesday: Village

The Village will be installing a water main in the area. Work is expected to last several weeks.

NEW LENOX, IL — Motorists in New Lenox will see a section of U.S. Route 30 closed for several weeks beginning Wednesday, according to a notice from the Village.

Eastbound U.S. Route 30 from 500 east of Vine Street to 500 feet west of Vine Street will be reduced to one lane for water main installation, according to the Village.

In addition, the entrance to KFC from U.S. Route 30 will be closed, so motorists will have to use the Vine Street entrance to access restaurant.

The Village said the lane closure will least at three weeks, possibly longer depending on conditions.
