Severe Weather Spotter Class at LWW
Lincoln-Way West event on April 26 will feature health expo with 50 organizations.

NEW LENOX, IL - A "Severe Weather Spotter Training & Health and Safety Expo" event is planned later this month at Lincoln-Way West High School.
The event, organized by the village of New Lenox and the New Lenox Safe Communities America Coalition, will feature organizations from the health, safety, fitness, preparedness and emergency response industries.
The severe weather spotter training class beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26 at the school's Performing Arts Center at 21701 Gougar Road will be preceded by a two-hour free health and safety expo.

"Attendees will have the opportunity to receive free literature, giveaways, and health screenings while visiting the tables," according to a news release.
The training class, which include a segment on how weather spotters can report information from inside their own homes, will conclude at 8:30 p.m. It will also touch on thunderstorms, severe weather advisories and steps that can be taken to prepare.
