Silver Cross Foundation Welcomes Two New Board Members

Dynamic leaders Megan Bowman and John Clavio bring expertise in finance, law and philanthropy to advance healthcare initiatives

The Silver Cross Board of Trustees is proud to announce the appointment of Megan Bowman and John Clavio to the Silver Cross Foundation Board of Directors – the fundraising arm for Silver Cross Hospital. Both distinguished professionals bring decades of experience and a shared passion for strengthening healthcare services for families throughout the region.

Bowman is a dynamic leader with a diverse career spanning beauty, education, finance and philanthropy. She began as a senior hair colorist at Mario Tricoci Salon & Spa, collaborating on industry events and working behind the scenes for shows like Oprah and Jenny Jones. Today, Bowman serves as Vice President at Admiral Family Banks and actively supports education through her role at K12 Teachers Alliance in Frankfort.

Her commitment to community runs deep. Bowman is a charter member of Silver Cross Hospital’s Patient Family Advisory Council and serves as secretary of the Catherine Tolliver Foundation, a grant-making organization founded by her late grandfather in 1977. Since 2012, the Foundation has awarded $381,000 in grants to the Silver Cross Foundation to support critical programs including the NICU, open-heart surgical program and other areas of greatest need. Bowman previously served on the executive board of Federated Bank and is a proud mom of three adult children, former cheer coach and Chicago Marathon finisher.

Clavio is a distinguished partner at Clavio, Van Ordstrand & Associates, LLP in Frankfort, specializing in real estate, estate planning and title services. His legal career began in 2001 when he transitioned from serving as legal counsel at McDonald’s Corporation to founding his own law practice from the ground up. Over the years, Clavio’s dedication and expertise have propelled his firm into a successful partnership serving thousands of clients.

A graduate of Lewis University and The John Marshall Law School, Clavio is deeply committed to civic leadership. He has served as a Frankfort Village Trustee, a trustee for the Frankfort Public Library, and held leadership roles including President of the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce and Chair of Frankfort Fall Fest.
