Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Mrs. Suarez is a Jr High special education teacher. She is an amazing teacher that takes time to get to know each of her students' needs and adapt her lessons plans for them. She is very empathetic and patient with all the children she works with. Mrs. Suarez has an effective way of getting the children engaged in her classroom by making the students comfortable and feeling confident in themselves. She has strong classroom management. She can have fun in the classroom and get off-topic, but has a way of getting the students right back on task when it is time to learn. Mrs. Suarez excels not only in the classroom, but at the building level as well. Fellow teachers look up to her for insight into their students' needs, too. These are just some of the reasons why Mrs. Suarez deserves to be honored as an amazing teacher.
