St. Mary Catholic School Introduces 2024-2025 Student Council Members
St. Mary Catholic School introduced its 2024-2025 Student Council members, including 8th Grade Senior Officers and Junior 6-8th Officers.
(Mokena) – St. Mary Catholic School proudly introduced its student leaders during a special mass on September 25, 2024. New members of the St. Mary Student Council received certificates, council pins, and a blessing from Father Sam Conforti, marking the start of their leadership journey.
The St. Mary Student Council consists of a group of students committed to enhancing the school community through leadership and service. This year's group will focus on fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for all students. In addition to the 8th Grade Officers, the Junior Officers, representing homerooms from 6th through 8th grades, were also introduced.
The 8th Grade Senior Officers, Ruth Pluchar, Grace Plankinton, Ryan Rimkus, and Gianna Kettwig, were tasked with leading the Student Council and guiding the school through a year of service, growth, and collaboration.

Dr. Michele Engelman, Principal of St. Mary Catholic School, said "Our student leaders are an essential part of what makes our school community thrive. Their dedication and willingness to serve others sets an example for everyone.”
Mrs. Pam Bozzi, the Student Council Moderator, shared her excitement about the year ahead, saying, "It’s a privilege to work with such motivated students. I’m looking forward to seeing the creative ideas and positive changes they will bring to St. Mary this year."
