Two Charged In Connection With Staged Robbery In New Lenox: Police
Police said an employee at Joey's Red Hots and an accomplice worked together to try and pull off the robbery.

NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox police have charged two men in connection with a staged robbery that took place at a New Lenox restaurant.
New Lenox police officers were dispatched Aug. 28 to Joey's Red Hots, 217 E. Maple St. in New Lenox, for a report of an armed robbery, according to the New Lenox Police Department. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the employee who made the report, Joshua R. Jungles, 30, of Morris.
Jungles told police that a masked robber with a handgun went up to Jungles and demanded the restaurant's cash, according to NLPD.

Police said they later discovered that Jungles staged the robbery with a co-conspirator, Gabriel A. Peterson, 36, also of Morris, and that Jungles had provided a false police report.
Police were able to arrest Peterson and recover the stolen money. Peterson has been charged with felony theft and felony disorderly conduct, according to NLPD.

An arrest warrant was also issued for Jungles, who is currently in "a secure facility" and will be arrested upon his release, police said. Jungle also faces theft and disorderly conduct charges.
