Unlawful Use Of A Weapon, Criminal Damage To Property: NLPD Reports
Police reports from the New Lenox Police Department for Sept. 3-9.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.
Sept. 4
- Jonathan Oliveros-Suarez, 21, of Miami, Florida, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon. According to police reports, at approximately 9:01 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the area of the 2100 block of Bristol Park Road for report of a suspicious person sleeping in a car in the parking lot. Upon arrival, the officer met with Oliveros-Suarez and found him to be unlawfully in possession of a firearm. Oliveros-Suarez was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Oliveros-Suarez posted bond and was released.

- Michael R. Shepard, 27, of Joliet, was charged with criminal damage to property/criminal trespass to vehicle. According to police reports, at approximately 3:28 p.m. an officer was dispatched to Silver Cross Hospital, 1900 Silver Cross Boulevard, for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival the officer met an employee, who said that Shepard had damaged a vehicle’s window and entered into a different vehicle, neither belonging to him. Shepard was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Shepard posted bond and was released.
Sept. 8
- Penelope L. McSherry, 50, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, at approximately 9:06 a.m. an officer was on patrol in the area of Nelson Road and Haven Avenue and saw McSherry speeding in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop and learned that McSherry had a suspended driver’s license. McSherry was arrested and taken to the NLPD. McSherry posted bond and was released.
- Alissa E. Kelly, 25, of Lockport, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, at approximately 3:38 p.m. and officer officer was on patrol in the area of Francis Road and Creekside Court and saw Kelly speeding in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop and learned that Kelly had a suspended driver’s license. Kelly was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Kelly posted bond and was released.
- Patrick J. Blake, 41, of New Lenox, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. According to police reports, at approximately 7:24 p.m. officer was on patrol in the area of U.S. Route 30 and Interstate 80 and saw Blake's vehicle with suspended registration in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop and learned that Blake had an active Will County Warrant out for his arrest. Blake was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Blake posted bond and was released.
