NEW LENOX, IL — Sharon's Bay Park in New Lenox will see some upgrades, with funds from a $600,000 grant awarded to the New Lenox Community Park District.

The park district announced this week that it has been awarded an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant, one of only two park districts in Will County selected to receive it.

The OSLAD grant will enable the Park District to bring its vision for Sharon’s Bay Park to life, "transforming it into a vibrant community hub," the park district wrote on its website.
