Village Board Welcomes Newest Member Of New Lenox PD

NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Police Department welcomed its newest officer at a swearing in ceremony during Monday's Village Board of Trustees meeting.

Aaron Denman took his oath from New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann in front of a large gathering of other police officers from New Lenox and surrounding communities.

Denman previously served on the Homewood Police Department for eight years and came "highly recommended" from that department, Baldermann said.

"I've had the good fortune of knowing the Denman family for quite some time," Baldermann said. "There's a long history of law enforcement in their blood. Good family. Good people. And we're really fortunate to have you here."

Denman and his wife, Kelly, are residents of New Lenox. Denman graduated from Lincoln-Way Central High School before going on to Eastern Illinois University.

"I just want to welcome AJ. It's an honor to have you here," New Lenox Police Chief Louis Alessandrini said. "I spoken to many people who know you and they speak highly of the experience and the training that you bring."
