Village Of New Lenox: Free Narcan Training
Narcan is a medicine that blocks the effects of opioids and reverses an overdose.

NEW LENOX, IL — The Village of New Lenox and its Safe Community Coalition, in partnership with Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210, will host "Your Light Still Shines" Aug. 31. at Lincoln-Way West High School, 21701 Gougar Road in New Lenox.
Attendees are encouraged to enter the campus off of Gougar Road as most of the activities are inside or just outside of the auditorium.
Dr. Kathleen Burke of the Substance Use Initiatives, Behavioral Health Division for the Will County Health Department will provide free Narcan training to the public from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. inside the auditorium.

Narcan (naloxone) is a medicine that blocks the effects of opioids and reverses an overdose. Everyone in attendance will receive a Narcan Nasal Spray Kit upon completion of the training.
In support of International Overdose Awareness Day, residents are encouraged to attend this event to learn more about the opioid epidemic, substance use disorders and what can be done to save lives.
