Village Of New Lenox: Operation Lifesaver Free Rail Safety Presentation
Operation Lifesaver is a program designed to promote railroad safety and awareness for children and adults of all ages.

NEW LENOX, IL — Please join us for an informative presentation on rail safety by Metra safety personnel from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Community Room at the New Lenox Village Hall.
Two METRA Commuter Rail Service Lines run through New Lenox: the Rock Island District to Joliet and the SouthWest Service to Manhattan. Although we see Metra trains all the time, do we really know how they operate?
Metra, in conjunction with the State of Illinois Operation Lifesaver Program, offers this free training throughout their service areas. This event is being hosted by the Village of New Lenox, and the New Lenox Safe Community Coalition, in partnership with Metra. Registration is being handled through Eventbrite via this link.
