MORTON GROVE, IL – Local fans of Chevy Chase’s Clark Griswold character will have the chance to be part a reenactment of his famous holiday lighting scene when it is played out in real-time next week in Morton Grove.

Chase will appear at the Raising Cane’s location at 6881 Dempster St. at 5 p.m. on Tuesday to reprise his character from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.” The restaurant will recreate the scene from the 1989 movie, in which Griswold attempts to get his family in the holiday spirit with an ambitious lighting display.

In Morton Grove, Tuesday’s event will include Chase appearing along with Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves, who will join the actor in lighting a display at the restaurant that includes more than 13,000 lights. The event will also include an appearance by Santa, his reindeer and other decorations that pay homage to the Christmas-time cult classic movie.
