Child Luring Suspect Arrested After Two More Incidents

Glenview police arrested Hicham M. Drissi, 28, of Glenview, on Friday afternoon, and charged him with two counts of Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct in relation to four attempted child luring incidents over the last two weeks, police said.

On Friday, Sept. 27, between 3:22 and 3:45 p.m., two female Glenbrook South High School students reported the male driver of a newer model, black four door SUV tried speaking to them, according to police.

One incident occurred at the intersection of East Lake Avenue and Pfingsten Road. The other incident occurred in the high school's west parking lot.

The driver and vehicle matched the description of the offender involved in two previous attempted child luring cases that occured at GBS and Jackman Park over the last two weeks.

Responding officers searched the surrounding area and stopped the described offending vehicle at 4:41 p.m. on East Lake Avenue at Greenwood Road, police say.

The driver, Drissi, was in a black 2013 Lincoln MKX SUV, and arrested on the spot.  

The police investigation revealed Drissi was the offender in all four reported incidents, according to police.

Investigators, in consultation with the Cook County State Attorney’s Office, charged Drissi with two counts of Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct. Drissi posted bond and will appear in the second district court on Oct. 29.
