Enjoy Centennial, Oasis, Harrer Pools While They're Still Open
Centennial Pool will soon be demolished; the Niles Teen Center goes on a field trip Thursday to Oasis' Pool.

- The Niles Teen Center makes an outing to Oasis Fun Center today to enjoy the pool and water slides. Teens must arrive at the Teen Center, located near Entrance 6 at Golf Mill Shopping Center, by 1:15 p.m. The cost is $3; bring extra money for food and drink. The registration deadline was Wednesday.
- The end is near for Centennial Pool, which is the closest and cheapest pool for many Niles residents who live in the Park Ridge Park District. The totem pole and playground are being taken down, and a groundbreaking ceremony will be held Sunday in preparation for demolishing the 60-year-old pool, which has gone past its lifespan. A new pool is coming next summer.
- If for some reason you can't go swimming, the Niles Library has a 3 p.m. Color Chip Art program for teens. An artist from Brickton Art Center will show you how to make fun, colorful art using paint chips.
