Morton Grove Library Attorney Reins In Trustees Who Removed Teen Employee
Trustees were told their role is to work with the board and library director, not with library employees or patrons, according to the Morton Grove Champion.

After one Morton Grove library trustee removed a 16-year-old library employee from screening an R-rated movie and other library trustees supported that decision, an uninvolved trustee and the library's attorney told them they had to be careful not to violate the Open Meetings Act, according to the Morton Grove Champion.
The library attorney also told board members that they have authority only when the board acts as a whole, not as individual trustees, the paper said.
