Dr. Gustav N. " Gus " Chron, PhD, 87, WWII Navy Vet and Purple Heart Recipient, beloved husband of Helen, nee Hoegel, loving father of Edward (Marcia), Karen (Marty) Pieler and Tim (Lisa). Devoted grandfather of Amanda, Kristen, Courtney, Lexi, Kaitlyn, Lindsay, Kasey, Margaret and Tyler. Dear brother-in-law of Rose Reimer. Fond uncle and friend of many.

Visitation Friday, October 25, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Services at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 8025 W. Golf Rd., Niles. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.

Gus was a Teacher for over 30 years, of which he was Principal for 22 years at the Westmoor Elementary School in Northbrook, IL. He was an Eagle Scout, loved studying History and collecting stamps. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
