1 Dead In 'Isolated Shooting' At Rosemont Outlets: Police
Police said there may be a third gunshot victim who left the scene, and two people fled in a red car.
ROSEMONT, IL โ One person is dead and at least one more was wounded after Rosemont officials said there was an "isolated shooting" inside the Fashion Outlets of Chicago mall Friday night. Two suspects are believed to have fled in a red vehicle.
Police said two gunshot victims were taken to an area hospital, where one of them, 20-year-old Joel Valdes, was pronounced dead.
The other gunshot victim, a 15-year-old girl, was in stable condition after the shooting, which police called an "isolated incident" and not an active shooter. Officials said the shooting may have been targeted.

Police said the teen girl was shot in the wrist, according to ABC Chicago, and there may have been a third shooting victim who left the area.
Police said two people fled the mall in a red car. As of Saturday morning, police said they had located a person of interest.

Just before 9 p.m., Rosemont officials said police were going store to store evacuating civilians. With no shooter at the scene, "the area is safe but still an active scene," police said.
Police had set up a reunification center for shoppers and their families or friends at the nearby Murray Bros. Caddyshack restaurant.
Police remained at the scene and have not given a description of the shooter.
It's the latest report of a shopping center shooting in the Chicago area since two days before Christmas, when several shoppers were wounded in an exchange of gunfire at Oakbrook Center.
Three bystanders were hit and wounded by gunfire, while another woman fractured her ankle as she tried to flee.
On Sunday, Rosemont police said they had spoken to multiple witnesses and continued to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information was asked to call police at 224-585-2865.
