81-Year-Old Man Dead After Weekend Fire: Officials

NORTHBROOK, IL — An 81-year-old man is dead after a weekend fire at his home, officials said.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, Hee Lee was pronounced dead at Glenbrook Hospital following the Saturday morning fire.

Fire officials said the flames began at around 6:40 a.m. and that police were the first to arrive on the scene. Lee was pronounced dead at 7:27 a.m. The cause of death has not yet been determined, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
