Acorn Grill + Terrace Offering Free Kid-Friendly Brunch In Northbrook

NORTHBROOK, IL — Brunch is always a delicious meal option, especially when it's free. Starting this Saturday, the Acorn Grill + Terrace will begin offering a kid-friendly weekend brunch, free for children under the age of 12. It will be offered on Saturdays and Sundays.

Acorn Grill + Terrace is located within the clubhouse of the Heritage Oaks Golf Club at 3535 Dundee Road. The weekend brunch is offered 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

"Brunch is the perfect way to bring families together, and we're delighted to make it even more special by offering free meals for kids under 12," said Greg Baron, director of golf for the Northbrook Park District. "It's a wonderful opportunity for parents to relax and enjoy a meal while their children have a great time, too. We're confident this new initiative will quickly become a favorite weekend tradition for the community."

According to the Northbrook Park District, the brunch menu features a range of sweet and savory offerings "sure to please all palates." Offerings will include: Heritage French Toast, Lox on the Green, Mediterranean Omelet, Tee Time Classic (two eggs, sausage or bacon, house potatoes and toast), Clubhouse Breakfast Tacos, Sportys Sando (fried egg, cheddar cheese, avocado and maple smoked bacon on a brioche bun), Breakfast Burrito, and Sunrise Burger topped by an over easy egg.

For the kids, the lineup includes French toast sticks (served plain or with seasonal fruit topping), two eggs styled any way, Mini Mulligans (egg and cheese breakfast sliders), grilled cheese, and muffins or pastries.

During the off-season, the clubhouse offers Full Swing Indoor Golf on a simulator that can be rented daily, according to officials. Guests can enjoy food and beverages from Acorn Grill + Terrace while playing. For more information, visit here or call 847-897-6140.
