Chicago Pizza Authority Opens Northbrook Location
The restaurant is located at 3125 Dundee Road and open for delivery, carryout and catering, with contactless curbside pickup available

NORTHBROOK, IL — Chicago Pizza Authority is now open in Northbrook. CPA started with its first location in Elgin in 1983. The Northbrook location celebrated its grand opening Monday with a “pizza cutting” ceremony with Village President Kathryn Ciesla.
Chicago Pizza Authority donated 25 percent of its sales at 3125 Dundee Road that day to Hunger Resource Network, according to a news release. HRN is a non-profit organization based in Northbrook that is dedicated to helping alleviate hunger in the Chicagoland area. Since their start in 2009, they have donated almost 4 million pounds of food to food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters and provided over 16,000 meals to local students and their families
The Northbrook location is the second Chicago Pizza Authority for owner Diego Cervantes, a 29-year-old Mexican American who has worked in the pizza business for 10 years. Cervantes got his start as a cook and dishwasher at a pizzeria in the southwest suburbs. He proudly opened his first CPA restaurant last year in Hoffman Estates and looks forward to expanding the brand.

“At Chicago Pizza Authority, we stick to the Chicago tradition of pizza making,” Cervantes said. “You can count on CPA to serve the delicious, satisfying pizzas and pastas you crave, made from scratch daily. Our generous portions come at a great value, and I think families will love it all — from our thin-crust pizzas to our hearty chicken parmigiana to our buttery breadsticks. And, of course, you can never go wrong with an Italian beef.”
The secret to CPA’s mouthwatering flavor, Cervantes said, is fresh, high-quality ingredients. Cheese is aged to perfection and cut in the kitchen daily; dough and sauce are made fresh every morning. And Italian sausage is prepared following an old Italian recipe with just the right mix of fennel, pepper and herbs — to which Cervantes said, “It’s the real deal.”

“Chicago Pizza Authority is an excellent addition to the Northbrook community,” Village President Kathryn Ciesla said. “With carryout, delivery and catering options, the pizzeria will provide fast, fresh Italian food to both our residents and local businesses. I am pleased to welcome Diego Cervantes and his talented team to Northbrook.”
Cervantes says he was drawn to Northbrook by its vibrant community and looks forward to working with local schools and organizations to better serve residents. It was also essential to find a restaurant space equipped with a rotating pizza oven, which ensures an even bake and crisp crust.
“Conveyor belts are a lot more common than rotary ovens and are easier to work with,” Cervantes said. “But with a conveyor belt, you sacrifice quality. At Chicago Pizza Authority, each individual pizza is cooked to perfection.”
CPA is open for delivery, carryout and catering, with contactless curbside pickup available. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
