Community Vigil Planned For Charlie Kirk In Northbrook
The event is being organized by a former Turning Point USA staffer and current TPUSA chapter leaders from Glenbrook North.

NORTHBROOK, IL — A community vigil "to honor the life and legacy" of Charlie Kirk is scheduled for Sunday in Northbrook. The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the Northbrook Village Green fountain, 1810 Walters Ave.
Kirk, a popular conservative activist, was shot and killed Wednesday during an event on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The 31-year-old Arlington Heights native is survived by his wife and two small children.

Organizers tell Patch the event was created by a former Turning Point USA staffer and current TPUSA chapter leaders from Glenbrook North High School. Kirk was the CEO and co-founder of the conservative youth organization, an American nonprofit organization that advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses.
"A native of the Chicago suburbs, Charlie made a lasting impression on those around him," organizers of the vigil said.

Attendees are encouraged to bring candles, signs, and flags as we gather to remember and celebrate Kirk's life.
"This is a peaceful vigil. All attendees are asked to remain respectful," organizers said. "If counter-protesters are present, do not engage."
