District 30 Students Place 3rd at Regional Science Bowl
Students from Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 recently competed in the 2013 Regional Science Bowl.

Ten students from Northbrook/Glenview School District 30 recently earned third place in the U.S. Department of Energy Argonne National Laboratory’s 2013 Regional Science Bowl, according to the school website.
Fourteen middle school teams from the region took part in the quiz style event where students answered questions in a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, astronomy and math.

Maple School’s Blue Team took third place while the school’s Orange team placed eighth in the region, according to the school.
Robin Dombeck, a Maple School science teacher who coaches the Science Bowl teams, said in a school news release that the team met their goal of improving and moving up the ranking and is already planning for practices and new strategies next year.
