DoorDash Driver Pleasures Self While Dropping Off Food: Northbrook Police Blotter

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

INDECENT EXPOSURE

Lazerius A. Walker, of Palatine, is accused of public indecency, and was arrested at 7:22 p.m. Nov. 24, in the 2800 block of White Pine Drive. According to police, a complainant said she had ordered items from DoorDash on Nov. 19. At around 7 p.m., Walker reportedly brought the DoorDash order to the complainant's house. When Walker arrived, he had his penis exposed over the top of his pants. Walker began to masturbate as he walked towards the complainant's door. Walker delivered the items when the complainant answered the door and then continued pleasuring himself. The incident was captured on the complainant's video surveillance system. A court date of Jan. 22, 2026, was assigned.

A Meadow Lane resident reported on Nov. 21 that in April, someone had fraudulently withdrawn $9,000 out of her 5/3rd bank account. The bank provided the complainant with a new account and reimbursed the money. In October, she noticed more unauthorized withdrawals, totaling $84.24. Again, the bank provided her with a new account and reimbursed the money, but they still have no answer regarding how the fraudulent activity was happening.

EMAIL HACKING

An Alice Drive resident reported at 12:34 p.m. Nov. 21, that she had performed a business transaction with a company. She wired $38,762.97 to a location provided by the receiver's email. After the transaction, the receiving company informed the complainant that their email system had been hacked and the money she had sent went to a different location. The complainant contacted the bank and informed them of the email takeover and fraud.

IDENTITY THEFT

  • A Rutgers Lane resident called police on Nov. 21 to report that in January 2024, someone had used the complainant's name and information to fraudulently purchase a cell phone and service with AT&T. After AT&T never received payment, they referred the debt to a collection company. When the complainant received the collections letter, she knew her information had been hacked.
  • An Overlook Bluff resident reported at 9:03 a.m. Nov. 22, he had written a check to someone and sent it through the mail. Unfortunately, the check was intercepted in the mail and washed. The check was forged to a new payee and in a new amount of $1,500. The complainant also received a notification that a new check was cashed that he never issued. A new check number was used but with the same offender’s name and in the amount of $2,900. The complainant is working with his bank to get the funds reversed.

THEFT

A member of a fitness center in the 4100 block of Dundee Road reported on Nov. 25 that she had placed her purse in an unlocked locker at her fitness center. After about 45 minutes, she started receiving fraud alerts on her cell phone indicating someone was using her credit cards. When she walked back to the locker, she noticed her credit cards and debit card were stolen. The person had used the credit cards at various Walmart stores in the neighboring communities.

ATTEMPTED CARJACKING

A citizen reported at 10:07 p.m. Nov. 25, that had stopped at a gas station in the 1900 block of Willow Road to fill up her vehicle. While filling up her vehicle, a gray sedan drove up, and two males exited. One of the two got into the driver's seat of the complainant's vehicle, while the other pushed the complainant away. When the two couldn't put her vehicle into drive, they ran back to their vehicle, which was driven by a third person. The group were last seen fleeing westbound on Willow Road. They did not display any weapons, and the complainant was not injured.
