Accident Shuts Down Lake Cook Road For Period: Northbrook PD

Police were asking residents to avoid the area and find an alternate route following a Wednesday morning crash.

NORTHBROOK, IL — A car accident was slowing traffic Wednesday morning on Lake Cook Road. According to police, the eastbound lanes of the road were closed from Skokie Boulevard to Lee Road for about 45 minutes, starting at 10:44 a.m. In a social media post, police said the roadway had been reopened by 11:18 a.m.

Police were asking residents to avoid the area and find an alternate route.
