I would like to nominate Mr. Gordon for the Teacher Spotlight because of his unwavering dedication and passion for music education. He truly believes in the transformative power of music and how it can positively impact children's lives. Mr. Gordon goes above and beyond to inspire his students, creating an environment where creativity and growth flourish. His commitment to nurturing young musicians is evident in every rehearsal, and his enthusiasm is contagious, making him not only a great teacher but also a mentor who leaves a lasting impression on his students.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

During COVID, when band education seemed nearly impossible, Mr. Gordon made it happen in creative ways. He continues to send weekly emails to families, encouraging and inspiring the students. He reminds them of how the Italian people used music during the darkest times of the pandemic to bring hope and unity, showing his belief in music's power to uplift and inspire.
