The Village of Northbrook and Northbrook Park District have announced this year’s Independence Day schedule, offering a full day of fun for all ages on Thursday, July 4.
7 - 11am — Pancake Breakfast at Village Green Park, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Northbrook
7:30am — Liberty Loop 5K Run/Walk at Techny Prairie Park and Fields
8:30am — Liberty Lap Fun Run at Techny Prairie Park and Fields
One-mile course for junior joggers ages 4 to 10
9 - 11am — Music and Family Games at Village Green Park
The Flashback Cabaret will perform in the gazebo, and the Park District will provide games.
9 - 11am — Historical Society Museum & Inn Shop at Village Green Park
9am - 3pm — Mini-Golf Tournament at Sportsman’s Country Club
10 - 11am — Police vs. Fire Department Softball Game at Village Green Park
Noon - 6pm — Park District Pools Open
2pm — Decorated Bike Parade, sponsored by George Garner Cyclery
2:30pm — Mile-Long Parade
Parade begins at Cherry and Western and ends at the Village Green Park.
Dusk — Fireworks at Meadowhill Park
