Northbrook Collecting Unused and Expired Medicine

As part of the National Take Back Initiative, Northbrook police inviteresidents to safely dispose their unused or expired prescription drugs on Saturday, April 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Northbrook Police Department, 1401 Landwehr Rd.

Throughout the last four Take-Back events, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in conjunction with law enforcement partners, collected more than two million pounds of unwanted or expired medications for safe and proper disposal. 

The Village continues to sponsor the “Save-A-Star” program by offering a collection box in the police department for that allows people safely dispose of unwanted and unused medications round the clock, all year.
