Please join us in restocking food pantry shelves with household cleaning and personal hygiene products. Summer Stock Day 2025, sponsored by our friends at Edward Jones -- Northbrook, is Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Northbrook Farmers Market, corner of Cherry & Meadow.

Items of particular need include paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, disposable diapers, women's personal hygiene products, and other dry goods -- all items that cannot be purchased with food stamps, but certainly are necessities.

Market organizers are grateful to Edward Jones--Northbrook, Omar Zaki, for their generous donation that helps defray expenses associated with this event. "We are honored to sponsor a collection drive for the food pantry," said Zaki. "We think it's great that our local farmers market makes this effort to help those who need assistance. It's all about community."

This year marks the 16th annual Summer Stock Day, and as always, volunteers at the Welcome booth will be available to unload cars if you need a helping hand.

"We are so grateful for the generosity that helps us keep our shelves stocked and our neighbors supported," said Northfield Township Supervisor Shiva Mohsenzadeh.

In addition to the Summer Stock collection drive, each week volunteers collect fresh produce from farmers, for a total of more than 100,000 pounds over the years.

The market is open Wednesdays through Oct. 8, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the parking lot of Meadow Plaza, Cherry Lane and Meadow Road, with plenty of onsite free parking.
