Pair Nabbed With Cocaine, Stun Gun During Traffic Stop: Northbrook Police Blotter
The Chicago residents face felony charges following the incident earlier this week.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE
- Clinton York, of Des Plaines, is accused of having an expired registration, improper use of registration, driving while license revoked, and was arrested at 9:17 p.m. June 6, at Floral Drive and Pfingsten Road. A court date of June 25 was assigned.
- Zyon S. Martinez, of Gurnee, is accused of having a suspended registration, driving while license revoked, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 5:04 p.m. June 9, at Dundee Road and Cotswold Way. A court date of July 9 was assigned.

Victor Correa, of Chicago, is accused of two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance. Janessa T. Browne, of Chicago, is accused of two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon. Police saw a 2007 silver Honda with expired license plates at around 1:58 p.m June 10. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, who received a written warning for an expired registration, and the occupants, Browne and Correa. Police said Browne and Correa appeared intoxicated. The officer found white powder on a tray with tinfoil on the floor of the vehicle and various pills. Browne had a white powdery substance in her handbag, and an illegal stun gun. All the powder collected tested positive for containing cocaine, and Correa admitted it was cocaine. A court date of June 12 was assigned.
THEFT

Dawson J. Schultz, of McHenry, is accused of felony theft, and was arrested at 7:17 p.m. June 11, in the 100 block of Timber Lane. Police said that on June 4, the homeowners indicated that two engagement rings were stolen from their residence during a period of time when contract work had been performed at their house. On June 11, detectives with the Northbrook Police Department interviewed Schultz, who had completed some construction work at the house. During the interview, Schultz admitted to stealing the rings and pawning them Round Lake Beach. A court of date of June 12

VANDALISM
A citizen reported at 9:13 a.m. June 7, someone had painted over a portion of his political sign, that had been on display at the public forum display area, with white paint.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
A citizen reported at 8:26 a.m. June 9, someone had damaged a school's tables that are for playing chess in the playground. The person had smashed out the mosaic tiles for the chess games.
RETAIL THEFT
The manager of a retail store in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road reported at 3:04 p.m. June 11, an unknown female had come into the store and inquired about a high-end purse, valued at $3,650. After the female spoke with the manager, the purse was placed behind the store counter. The female later grabbed the purse from behind the counter and concealed it in her coat pocket. After reviewing the surveillance footage, it revealed that the female attempted to steal another purse but was unsuccessful prior to fleeing the store.
