Running Car Prompts Evacuation of Northbrook Home for Carbon Monoxide
The car had accidentally been left on. The fire department evacuated the home.

The following is from the Village of Northbrook:
At approximately 8:30pm on October 9, 2014 Northbrook Fire units responded to the 4000 block of Picardy circle for the CO Detector activation.
Upon arrival crews measured high levels within the residence and evacuated the occupant from the home. Donning self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) crews entered the residence and found a vehicle that had accidently been left running in the garage. Crews ventilated the building and evaluated the resident.
