Rushing to Attend U of I
Glenbrook North's Grant Rushing has been recruited as a preferred walk-on player for the Illini.
University of Illinois recruiters have offered Glenbrook North's Grant Rushing a preferred walk-on place on their football team, the Northbrook Star reports.
“I was going to go to the University of Iowa and just do school there, and not pursue a sports career," Rushing told the Northbrook Star. "Then this came up, and it just made me really happy because in the back of my mind I still wanted to play."
Rushing is a Spartan football record holder, a former CSL North Player of the Year and "Chicago Bears All-Star of the Week."
