Sole Mates Introduces Women's Shoes to Dunbrook Center

Mindi Kane has owned shoe stores in the past, and she's been running Northbrook's Payton Rose shop for more than a year, but Sole Mates is her first retail venture with husband Brian. It's only fitting they would call it Sole Mates. 

Mindi's shops face each other on opposite ends of the Dunbrook Shopping Center at Dundee and Pfingsten roads. While Payton Rose specializes in elegant and affordable women's clothing, Sole Mates offers offers shoes to complete the outfit. 

"We aim to please, we're not going to get things that people don't wear," Mindi said. "We want you to be comfortable. We want you to look good."

To celebrate its recent opening, Sole Mates offers shoppers 25 percent off items in the store until Thursday. Customers can get an additional five percent off by liking the store's Facebook page. 

Mindi says most items at Sole Mates range between $28 and $100, and includes brands that may be hard to find at other nearby shoe stores. 

Brian and Mindi live in Northbrook, and are Glenbrook alums — Brian went to GBN and Mindi attended GBS.
