Stopped Train Block Railroad Crossings In Northbrook: Police
The crossings were blocked for around 30 minutes Monday afternoon.
NORTHBROOK, IL — A stopped train was blocking the railroad crossings at the 800 block of Dundee Road and 1400 block of Shermer Road Monday afternoon. Northbrook police sent out a community alert at around 2:30 p.m.
"There’s no estimated time for the crossings to reopen," the original post read. "Please use an alternate route."
Northbrook police said the crossings had reopened about 30 minutes later.
