Northbrook Farmers Market Opening Day Bash, Wednesday, June 18, features fun for all and a celebration of small business in the parking lot of Meadow Plaza, Cherry Lane and Meadow Road.

Free attractions include live music, face painting, free slices of cold watermelon, games for kids, plenty of cool swag and more.

Guest of honor at the 10 a.m. traditional watermelon-cutting ceremony, which officially opens the market season, is Northbrook Chamber of Commerce, marking their 75th anniversary this year.
"We are excited to join the farmers market during this milestone anniversary year and celebrate the contributions of small businesses since our founding in 1950," said Kathi Quinn, president of Northbrook Chamber of Commerce, who will slice the ceremonial watermelon. “We love that the farmers market is a hub of small businesses, giving them an opportunity to grow and thrive in our
community.”
