More than 1 million people had their eyes to the skies Saturday and Sunday at the <a href="http://www.cityofchicago.org/city/en/depts/dca/supp_info/chicago_air_and_watershow.html/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Chicago Air and Water Show</a>. For the 55th year in a row, planes few over the shoreline of Lake Michigan and up to 600 miles an hour. City officials estimate almost 1.7 million people attended the festival, despite the absent military headliners. See our photos and videos of the festival.
