Chow Down on Chipotle 'Booritos' This Halloween
The popular restaurant chain is hosting a unique fundraiser to conclude the spooky season that's contingent upon you showing up—in costume, of course.
If you're looking for a break from trick-or-treating with the kids or just want to pitstop for a quick bite this Halloween, consider enjoying a boorito—eh hem, we mean "burrito."
A Chipotle burrito, that is. Customers dressed in costume can also enjoy a burrito bowl, salad or order of tacos for just $2 each beginning at 4 p.m. on the holiday. All proceeds generated—up to $1 million worth—will benefit the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to creating a more sustainable and healthful food supply.

“We have always believed that good food should be affordable and accessible to everyone, and our annual Boorito fundraiser is a great opportunity for customers to enjoy a $2 burrito while supporting a great cause,” Steve Ells, founder of Chipotle, said in a news release. “By using this program as a fund-raiser, we have already raised $2 million to support farmers and organizations that make sustainable and humanely raised food possible, and we’ll add to that total this year. It’s a great way to celebrate Halloween by doing something good.”
Participants in this year’s fundraiser are invited to also enter the Chipotle Costume Contest for a chance to win $2,500 and other prizes. For more information and contest rules, please visit the restaurant's website.
