Forever Yogurt Rumored on Roscoe (PHOTOS)
The frozen yogurt store says, although it didn't sign the lease yet, it's looking at a space in the heart of Roscoe Village.
Frozen yogurt staple Forever Yogurt says its looking to potentially open a new storefront on West Roscoe Street in the heart of Roscoe Village.
Planned for 2004 W. Roscoe St., the 1,100-square-foot empty storefront was once home to The Denim Lounge. The rental includes a 500-square-foot basement, and Showcase.com reports the yearly rent is $33,000.
“March 1st is the estimated opening date,” a representative with the business initally told Patch. “It could be a little before or after that, but that’s the intended date.”

However, the representative called back around 6 p.m. Monday to say the lease for the space has yet to be signed, so as of right now, the store is "not going to happen."
Rumors about the new store on Roscoe comes just after the business said plans to open a store on Southport Avenue in Lake View fell through. Forever Yogurt has two other locations in Lake View, one at 931 W. Belmont Ave. and the other at 3510 N. Halsted St. in Boystown.

Roscoe Village’s first store is marked as “Coming Soon” on Forever Yogurt’s website, with details like the store’s hours still under wraps. However, the business’ other area locations are open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day but Friday and Saturday where it says open until midnight.

The Chicago-based company, headquartered at 215 W. Ohio St., is rapidly expanding, with more 90 locations marked as “Coming Soon” or “Seeking Space” on its website.
Forever Yogurt would be Roscoe Village’s second frozen yogurt shop, with Scooter’s Frozen Custard located on the corner of West Belmont Avenue and North Paulina Street.
